V/Line train travel between Melbourne and Benalla is not included and must be arranged separately by each family.

A Very Special Time to Visit the Farm

Our approximately 2,000 Damask roses bloom for only around 2–3 weeks each year.

Samaria Rose Farm opens to the public for only two Open Farm Days during the rose season — Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November.

It is a beautiful opportunity to visit the farm during this very short flowering season, walk amongst the roses, take photographs, experience the distillation process and enjoy time on the farm.

Damask rose is often known as the Queen of Roses and has been treasured for centuries for its beautiful fragrance and use in perfumery and skincare.

We would be delighted to welcome you to our Australian Damask rose farm during this very special time of year.

Your Day Trip from Melbourne

Recommended V/Line Train

Southern Cross Station — 7:07am departure
Benalla Station — 9:24am arrival

Our private minibus will meet the group at Benalla Station and bring you to Samaria Rose Farm.

Each minibus carries a maximum of 13 passengers.

If booking numbers are higher, we may be able to arrange an additional second minibus transfer.

Final transport arrangements will be confirmed with booked families before the event.

At Samaria Rose Farm

Once you arrive, you will have time to enjoy the farm, our rose field, workshop, café and farm shop.

Mini Damask Rose Water Workshop

Experience traditional steam distillation using freshly hand-picked Damask roses from our 2026 harvest.

You will learn how our roses are grown, hand-picked and distilled on the farm, and see how the fresh flowers are transformed into pure Damask Rose Water.

Workshop duration is approximately 45–60 minutes.

Each participant will take home:

30ml freshly distilled Damask Rose Water

plus a small Damask rose petal potpourri.

Explore & Relax at the Farm

Take your time walking through our field of approximately 2,000 Damask roses, enjoying their fragrance and taking photographs during this very short flowering season.

You are welcome to explore the farm at your own pace and enjoy our café and farm shop.

Our farm café will offer homemade light meals, sweet treats and drinks, using ingredients harvested from our farm and locally sourced produce wherever possible.

Food and drinks are not included in the package price.

Return to Melbourne

We plan to leave Samaria Rose Farm at approximately 1:30pm for Benalla Station.

Benalla Station — 2:09pm departure
Southern Cross Station — 4:33pm arrival

This makes it possible to enjoy a beautiful country rose farm experience and return to Melbourne the same afternoon.

V/Line Tickets — Important Information

V/Line train travel is not included in the AOZORA package price.

Each family is responsible for arranging their own return travel between Melbourne and Benalla.

Public transport in Victoria is currently half price until 1 January 2027.

For weekend travel, based on current information as of September 2026:

Adult Full Fare — up to $4 per day

Young people under 18 can currently travel FREE on Victorian public transport with a valid Youth myki.

Please arrange your own V/Line ticket and Youth myki before travelling.

V/Line timetables and fares may change, so please check the latest V/Line / Transport Victoria information before your travel date.

1年にほんの2〜3週間だけのローズシーズン

サマリアローズファームは約２時間メルボルンからビクトリア州北東部に位置し、グルメ地区キングバレーと呼ばれるたくさんのワイナリーとファームの中に位置し、有機農法で約2,000本のダマスクローズや何種類もの植物から精油や蒸留水を作っていいます。

ダマスクローズが咲くのは、一年のうちわずか2〜3週間ほど。

ローズシーズン中に一般の方にファームをオープンするのも、今年は

10月31日（土）・11月1日（日）の2日間のみです。

ローズの香りに包まれたファームを歩いたり、写真を撮ったり、蒸留を体験したり。

一年でも特別なこの時期に、ゆっくりファームで過ごしていただけます。

ダマスクローズは「バラの女王」とも呼ばれ、古くから香水やスキンケアなどに大切に使われてきた香り高いローズです。

ベネラ駅に到着後、専用ミニバスでサマリアローズファームまで送迎します。駅からおよそ25分です。

ミニバスは1台最大13名です。

ご予約人数が多い場合には、2便目のミニバスを追加できる可能性があります。

ご予約後、人数に合わせて最終的な電車・ミニバスのご案内をお送りします。

ローズウォーター・ミニワークショップ

2026年にファームで朝摘みした新鮮なダマスクローズを使い、伝統的な**水蒸気蒸留法（Steam Distillation）**を体験していただきます。

ローズを育て、手摘みし、蒸留してローズウォーターになるまでのお話をしながら、実際にローズの蒸留を体験します。

ワークショップは約45〜60分。

をお持ち帰りいただけます。

約3時間のファーム滞在はワークショップだけでなく、約2,000本のダマスクローズが育つローズファームを自由に散策していただけます。

ローズの香りを楽しみながら散策したり、写真を撮ったり、カフェやファームショップを覗いたり、ゆっくりとファームでお過ごしください。

当日はファームカフェとショップもオープンします。

手作りの軽食やデザート、お飲み物など、ファームで収穫した食材や地元の食材をできるだけ生かしてご用意する予定です。

メルボルンへの帰り

午後1:30頃にサマリアローズファームを出発し、ミニバスでベネラ駅へ向かう予定です。

現在、ビクトリア州の公共交通機関は2027年1月1日まで半額となっています。

土日については、2026年9月時点の情報でFull Fareの1日上限は大人$4です。

また、18歳未満のお子さまはYouth mykiを利用することで、ビクトリア州内の公共交通機関を無料で利用できます。
